The Alfred University Downstate MBA offers you unmatched combination of low cost and focus on enterprise resource planning (ERP). The curriculum integrates the use of SAP business suites (R/3, BW, SCM, SEM, CRM,) so you can make an immediate contribution to your workplace. This program costs only x dollars compared to other comparable programs, so your return on investment will be considerably higher. The program is designed for working professionals, as classes meet in a cohort on Saturdays in Brooklyn, plus two weeks, one week for two summers, at Alfred’s beautiful campus in western New York.
Graduates of the Alfred University MBA program will demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills. They will have the global perspective necessary to making correct decisions in our interconnected world. They will understand the need for ethical practices in business.
Students attend the downstate M.B.A. program on a part-time basis. The program is designed so that students can complete their course of study in one academic year and two summers. Students have completed previous coursework in all of the required foundation business. These courses may be taken with other institutions. Classes will begin in summer 2010 on campus at Alfred University. Beginning in the fall semester, students enroll in three courses per academic period for the remainder of the year (fall, spring, summer). Students attend classes during the fall and spring one full day each weekend choosing either Saturday as their regular class day at sites in Brooklyn.
During the second summer of the program, students again travel to the Alfred University campus for their final residency week, completing the program in August.

Getting Started
Applicants to the Alfred University Downstate (off-campus) programs go through the same admissions screening as applicants to the on-campus program. All admissions decisions are made by full-time Alfred University faculty who are members of the admissions committee.

Application Deadline
The Downstate Master's in Business Administration is a cohort program which starts each summer on-campus at Alfred University. The Application deadline for summer 2010 admission is May 15th, 2010.

Financial Information
The fee for each three-credit course is $900. The complete cost for the 30-credit Master’s Degree is $9,000. Tuition is due on the first day of each class. Tuition can be paid by cash, check, credit card or money order. Please note: You may pay for each course as you take it or pay per semester. Financial aid is available through Alfred University. (Courses taken on campus cost $950.)

Credit Transfers
Alfred University may accept up to six graduate credits for transfer. Students who are interested in transferring credits into the program should submit a request, along with official transcripts and course descriptions, to Alfred University.
